About Anthony Nak
(Austin, TX) — In 1999, Anthony Camargo and Nak Armstrong launched Anthony Nak, a brand that changed the landscape of the fine jewelry market.The international fashion community quickly embraced their iconic architectural designs and chain-link encased pieces and by 2003, the young designers had won a laundry list of the most prestigious industry awards including two CFDA nominations and one win in 2005.
Anthony and Nak met by coincidence in the early 1990's while both men were living in New York. After completing his degree in architecture, Nak, a native Texan, traveled to New York to pursue a career in fashion. California-born Anthony landed in New York via Miami to continue his career designing furniture and large-scale installation pieces. Shortly after meeting, they discovered that they shared the same intense appreciation for design and fashion. What emerged was a life-long friendship and professional partnership.
Anthony Nak was officially born a few months later upon their relocation to Austin, Texas. Shortly after the company debuted its first collection in 1999, Anthony and Nak received considerable national media attention when they were commissioned by the Bush family to design Barbara and Jenna Bush’s jewelry for George W. Bush's 2001 Inaugural Ball. Many celebrities including Reese Witherspoon, Angelina Jolie, Leann Rimes, Mandy Moore, Kelly Clarkson, Rosario Dawson, and Calista Flockhart call upon Anthony Nak for their everyday enjoyment and red carpet appearances.
Anthony and Nak's inspiration comes from all forms of art and life. From nature to classic architecture, each collection reflects a distinct aesthetic. Anthony Nak releases one Signature collection every year and new designs on a continual basis. Anthony Nak has also launched Atelier, a sterling silver collection available exclusively on QVC network.
